Isa pong taos-pusong pagbati nang isang taon puspos ng pagpapala ng Panginoon Diyos ang aming pinaaabot sa inyo. Nais din po naming magpahatid sa inyo ng aming marubdob na pasasalamat sa tulong na ibinahagi sa Happy Tummies.
Allow me to give you the latest update on our Happy Tummies Feeding Program for the Calauan Relocation kids.
- For 2012, we will still cater to 500 children aged four to twelve. But requests have come to include infants in the program. Likewise, we will not ignore the hungry old people and lactating mothers of the area. [Livelihood support programs are still far from adequate.] Asa talaga sila sa inyong tulong.
- The children who benefitted from our 2011 feeding activities increased their weight by an average of two to four kilos. During the latter part, we have lost a considerable number of kids; families started to relocate [informally settle again] to the Metro. But other kids took their spots in the program. By and large, we consider the 2011 activities a success. In fact our program lasted nine months, instead of mere six months. Maraming salamat po.
- As of todate, we are ready with pesos two million, four hundred thousand for 2012. More help has been promised. We thank the many nameless friends who encouraged their friends to assist us. Maraming salamat po.
- For those who endorsed their contributions, we are giving one Hearty storybook and one Zerah storybook per child sponsored [or for every pesos 3000 assistance]. By the way, the Hearty book garnered the Award of Excellence in the 2nd China Printing Exhibition in Guangdong, April 2011. The Children’s Book of the Year Award from the Catholic Media Media Awards was also given last October 2011. Zerah was just released in time for this Christmas season.
- Please get in touch through our numbers if you have not received yet your books. We will send them to you ora mismo.
- For the coming 2012, our resources allow us to include a formation program for the kids to complement our feeding activities. We will tie up with the Yuppeace Faith Community of Young Professionals for this. If you personally would want to participate, or visit the site, you may join them every third Saturday of the month.
